Windsurfing

Windsurfing is EPIC. End of!!

Ok so the water may not be amazingly warm during the winter, but the chance is always there if you’re man (or womanly*) enough. Windsurfing managed to get a better result than sailing last year, but the sailing side of the club is warm.

SWA Festival (Aussie Kiss 9): 23-24th October 2010

Is the first immense windsurfing to go on this year, if you thought Freshers week was epic, you have not seen what the SWA has to offer at Aussie Kiss. 2 days and nights of partying and occasionally some windsurfing happens, normally by accident.

Through out the year we attend competitions hosted by others universities in a bid to show that Loughborugh leads the way in every sport that matters (to be good at wind surfing too, would just be showing off).

Late april we head to the national Fleet racing competition, the best chance to collect BUCS point for the year. The event is split into single sex categories of varying ability where you have a chance to beat surfers of your ability to prove you are the best novice or advanced (aka windsurfing God, speak to Pete, he caused national domination for many years in the under 10’s, then decided windsurfing is LAME, he may be wrong).

Windsurfing is an epic sport and is part of the club so all members are welcome to come and give it ago, to see the the grass is actually greener on the other side. Equally windsurfers are always welcome to spend some time on a boat, where you can stay out of the only slightly above zero temperatures.

Any member of the Club is welcome to come along and have a go, its great to people having a go

wind surfing love xx

not normally as lame as this :S (well :D )
