Southport 24hour race – September 11th/12th

Hi,
This is just a quick email to let you know about another event that we’ll be attending in the summer… The West Lancashire Yacht Club 24 Hour Race. The event is a long way off yet but I’m letting you know now so you can make a note in your diaries.
The Southport event is a 24 hour race non stop through the night in our Enterprise. The Ent takes a crew of two and we changeover every couple of hours so we can have a rest and get some sleep. We arrive on Friday 10th September to pitch our tents and then into the marquee for the party. The race starts at midday on Saturday 11th and we leave Sunday afternoon.
No experience in the Ent is necessary to sail, but for anyone who might not want to sail this weekend this is a great social event with bbq, dj etc. so if you’ve got the weekend free you should come for the party anyway, as well as a chance to catch up with some of the old boys.
