AGM – tomorrow – reminder

Hi All,

Just a reminder that the club’s AGM is tomorrow at 6.30pm in D002 (James France).

The AGM is an important part of the running of the club and is your opportunity to elect the club’s new committee who will run the club for the remainder of the year. It’s important that as many members attend as possible so that the club is fairly represented.

Anyone who wishes to take up a committee position who has not yet got in touch with Danny, please do so by the end of today (D.C.Ramsden-07@student.lboro.ac.uk).

See you tomorrow,

Dave

IMPORTANT: Weekly petrol money contributions

Evening guys and girls.

I hope those of you who went to the Badger this weekend enjoyed it.

As you all know, the price of petrol has increased a fair amount since January, such that club members with cars are struggling to afford to fill them up to take people to Burton. Therefore it has been decided that as of THIS WEDNESDAY(2nd March) we will be asking for a £2.50 contribution for petrol from those members not driving. I know as students we don’t like spending money, but if drivers can’t afford the petrol, then you guys can’t sail.

Along with this, I want to reiterate that if you are not asked to drive to the club, please don’t as you won’t be paid petrol money.

Lots of love

WED 23RD – SOCIAL! AU Competition!

Just got the details through for our FIRST SOCIAL of this semester!!! (23rd Feb… a week tomorrow)

There is a competition between the AU clubs to win the title as the ‘Most Sociable Club!!’
We will be judged on:

  • ATTENDANCE (you all need to come, more numbers=more money for the club!)
  • PUNCTUALITY (8pm start! Meet at 7:55pm outside the chemist)
  • GENERAL BANTER ON THE NIGHT (who is good at making up chants/songs?!)
  • PERFORMANCE AT THE INTER CLUB GAMES

As we are part of an amazing sporting university we struggle for awards for our sporting achievements but I think we excel in being a sociable club with a high attendance at Hey Ewe’s every week and all … Continue Reading
