Lizzie Hill, Jenni Ross, Emily Brown, Elizabeth Scorgie, Vicky Styles, Lucy Bromwich and Nicolla Ellis.

Others that are coming are:

Me, Kiwi, Alex, Pete Goodyear, Sam Oakes and Chris Harvey and Simon Gadd.

Chris Harvey: you are driving yourself as requested so you can meet us at Burton.

Kiwi, Myself and Sam Oakes will be driving as well if that is ok. Any problems let me know ASAP!

Please bring £2 for drivers as that doesn’t seem to be happening and its only fair for those who are using personal fuel.

Please accept my apologies for the lack of communication about Wednesday sailing this week. Our website is down for some peculiar reason which we cannot fathom. Sailing this Wednesday will be Ladies helming. I will get some more details out to you asap. If you are interested in the mean time then please e-mail Alex Willmore if you would like to helm or if you are a guy who would like to crew. There will also be some social/general sailing for those who wish to use the Picos…however priority will be given in terms of car space to those who are training for the teams this week.

Sorry last e-mail tonight!

Just a couple of things from me regarding recreational sailing, racing and
events.

Firstly, it’s been brilliant to see so many of you out on the water last
week and yesterday. I hope your learning and that you’ve enjoyed being out
on the water. If there are any problems feel free to ask me any questions
or if you have any suggestions then please let me know!

At the moment the Fireflys are being fixed/cleaned ready for this season’s
team racing circuit. If you have raced before and would like to race for
the university then please get in touch with me as we’ll be running a
session(s) in the very near future to decide teams for the first event in
Leeds on the 31st October. I’ve talked to a couple of people but if there
are anymore then drop me an e-mail. If you haven’t raced before but would
like to, then also get in touch as we are looking to train up new
crews/helms.

Aside from team racing there is fleet racing championships at Queen Mary
Sailing Club on the 7th November, anyone is welcome to come along to this
event and racing in fleets usually made up of Laser 2s and Fireflys. Again
please contact me if you would like to take part!

Once people have shown their interest in racing I’ll email dates and times
of training sessions to them.

Could everyone make sure they’ve joined the Facebook group as there will be
updates and other info posted there in the not too distant future.

I’ll leave you with a joke:

Who would like to sail on Saturday? Not too sure of leaving time yet but it will be before lunch. Please do let me know and also if you can drive. We are seriously lacking drivers this weekend so please do let me know.

Firstly I am sorry if you are not getting all of/any of the email messages we are sending out. I understand that there have been some problems with the system and we are working to rectify that asap…

Secondly Simon has asked me to find out how many of you have a Powerboat Level 2 qualification. Please respond to this e-mail if you do have a PB2 qualification.
