The deadline for ordering stash is today! There will be no other chance this year to purchase Gill jackets or social polos!

They are great to wear to events and out in the union, especially with the Loughborough Lemming coming up. We wear social polos for the first social at the Lemming at FND, so make sure you have one!!

They are also only £16, and £68 for a Gill jacket which is a massive saving on the RRP!

As many of you may know we are hosting our annual team racing event, the Loughborough Lemming, in a few weeks on the 3rd – 4th December.

I am emailing you all to ask if anyone would like to volunteer to accommodate a team at their house the Friday and Saturday nights (there are 6 to a team and they obviously don’t expect beds so just a sitting room floor would be adequate). Also I am asking if anyone would like to help out during the weekend with jobs at the club, if you have a PB2 or safety boat qualification then you would be useful but not a necessity.

The structure of the weekend is as follows:

FRIDAY
- All teams arrive and we have a great night at FND (with queue jump)
SATURDAY
- Racing all day at Burton
- Custard Bar then onto Rain in the evening
SUNDAY
- Racing all day again at Burton
- Weekend complete

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it will be a very busy weekend organising 14 teams plus 2 of our own!Thanks

The sign up for the fun day next Saturday (14th May) is now up on lufbra.net, you have until 8pm on tuesday to sign up anyone who is able to drive can you please email me and let me know!

As usual there will be a £2.50 cost towards petrol, also we will be providing  a BBQ for everyone so there will be a small charge of £2 or £3 to cover food, but I will confirm the exact cost when we know numbers! On this note could anyone who is a vegetarian please let me know!

Hope you are all enjoying the last couple of days of freedom before term starts, firstly a reminder to keep the 14th may free for the club fun day!!

Secondly to say there will be a hey ewe social this Wednesday, predrinks are being held at Nats and Dave’s house, 5 Wren Close, LE11 3HL at half 8, trying to arrange queue jump at the moment and I will keep you updated on that front for those of you who would prefer to meet at the union!! Dress code is social shirts! Hope to see you all there, should be a good chance to party before revision overload!

Dear all Pub Golfers,

The plan for this evening… MEET AT THE ORANGE TREE AT 7:30pm to start the 9 holes! (or 32 in Tim Beal’s case!!)

Please bring: some sort of writing implement to keep score, BOTH STUDENT ID and NORMAL ID!!!! and pub golf attire. I am attempting to attach the scorecard to the website so please print it out before you come if possible.

This should be a fantastic evening and a great way to start the Easter hols! Just as a quick reminder though, there is no pressure for anyone to drink any alcohol or participate in drinks that they don’t want to, just come along for the social and the dressing up!!

We have been approached by Burton Sailing Club regarding help instructing some with their sailing courses this spring. It’s an ideal opportunity to dust up on your teaching for the summer season.

Burton are running a course for William Allitt School on Wednesday afternoons from the 4th May to 13th July. If you’re interested in helping out please let me know. Obviously you will have other commitments for some of the season (cw/exams/not here over the summer) but I’m sure the club will appreciate any help you can offer.
