Club Meal – Replies pleeease

Hi Everyone,

It’s nearly the end of term, which I thought was a good excuse for another party…

We will be going out for a meal next Tuesday to Moomba, in Loughborough, then on to Stupid Tuesday. The table is booked for 7pm on Tuesday (the 23rd of March) you will get a 2 course meal for £10.95. The Christmas meal was a big success, it would be great to see everyone there again! However, we are limited to the number of people, so I need replies from those of you who want to come as soon as possible. I will bring the list to the AGM, so you can tell me then if you are there, but places may run out, so let me know as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!!

See you all tomorrow

Love Jenni xx

Committee positions for election

Hi All,

For those interested in running for the club committee, here’s a bit of blurb from the current members as to what each position entails…

  • Commodore
The Commodore has overall responsibility for all aspects of the club. They have to provide positive leadership and ensure the committee functions effectively and efficiently. They are responsible for chairing meetings and liaising with the AU and RYA concerning issues that may arise. Through use of delegation and a proactive committee the commodore need not have a direct hand in the day to day running of the club.
  • Vice-commodore
The role of the Vice Commodore of LSSWC is a general one and involves assisting the Commodore with the day to day management of the club and its activities. Specifically, the VC will be expected to organise Wednesday social sailing activities each week and also to assist in general running issues on a daily basis. The role is a … Continue Reading

Club AGM – Thursday 18th March

Hi All,

It’s that time of the year when we need to elect our new club committee! The club’s AGM will take place on Thursday 18th March at 7.15pm in room D202 (James France). We’ll review what the club’s been doing this year and then vote for the new committee who, as you know, are responsible for the day-to-day running of the club and work hard to support the club’s activites. It’s really important that as many club members as possible attend the meeting as the majority of the club must attend for the elections to count.

If you are interested in taking over (or sharing) any of the club committee positions please reply to this or speak to Kiwi before Monday 15th. Another email will follow with more information about each of the committee positions for those interested.

See you there!

Dave
